A concise, one-hour review of the parameters of freedom of speech in the U. S. William R. Newman, a popular CLE presenter across the South, looks at how the Supreme Court's evolving body of case law has defined legal limitations on the right of free speech. William R. Newman, Esq. of The University of Southern Mississippi
Mr. Newman practiced law for 23 years, and much of his early practice was concentrated in federal court. His experience includes work on constitutional issues (including First Amendment work), federal securities fraud, and an extensive transactional practice. He is now a full-time professor, and his CLE lectures provide a great balance of the academic and the practical (something possible only when someone has "worked in the trenches").
