Ned Nelson is a civil litigation attorney with Nelson Law, PLLC in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Ned’s practice has included complex commercial litigation, professional liability, premises liability, personal injury, insurance coverage disputes, wills and estates, as well as a diverse appellate practice. He has practiced and successfully argued cases at every level of the state court system, including Mississippi municipal, justice, county, circuit, and chancery courts across South Mississippi as well as the Mississippi Court of Appeals and the Mississippi Supreme Court. In his federal court practice, Ned has successfully argued cases in the district court for the Southern District of Mississippi and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
After graduating with honors in 2015 from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Business Administration, Ned attended the University of Mississippi School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate with honors in 2018. Since 2018, Ned has practiced law in the Hattiesburg area with his father and law partner, Mark Nelson.
Ned lives in Sumrall, Mississippi with his wife, Sami, and daughter, Ellie Grace. He is an active member of the community, serving on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of the Pine Belt, as a member of the Sumrall zoning and planning commission, and is an active member of Church at 4-Points in Hattiesburg. Ned is an avid fan and supporter of Southern Miss athletics and is active in the Alumni Association, where he is a lifetime member. In his free time, Ned enjoys attending Southern Miss sporting events, live music, and fishing along the Gulf Coast.
