Overview

Taught from both Plaintiff and Defense perspectives, this course looks at several crucial aspects of the jury trial, including:

  • The art of jury selection
  • Common assumptions (and misconceptions) about the ideal jury profile
  • Effective use of mock juries -- in the right case
  • Keeping the jury "pure" - new trends in restricting a juror's use of social media
  • Effective use of motions in limine and jury polling
  • Demonstrative evidence and other methods of keeping the jury's attention
