3-Hour Ethics & Substance Abuse/Mental Health CLE Bundle for 2023 (North Carolina)
Overview
In addition to the 2 hours of ethics credit mandated every year, North Carolina attorneys are required to earn one hour of CLE credit every 3 years dealing with Substance Abuse and Mental Health issues for lawyers.
If that's all the CLE you need to wrap up your requirements for the year, then this is the bundle for you.
We start with one of our newest ethics courses, The Ethics of Cybersecurity for Lawyers. This 2-hour course provides a practical checklist of 17 habits every lawyer should observe in order to ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive client information.
Then, our Substance Abuse/Mental Health segment takes an unusual approach -- Billy Newman looks at various mental health challenges confronted by several former U. S. Presidents while they were in office. He uses these episodes to underscore the pervasiveness of mental health challenges in the general population -- and especially within the legal profession. Billy then offers a perspective on the diagnosis, treatment, and recovery from these issues.
You can watch these courses as online videos, or if you prefer, download and listen to them as mp3 audio files.
