Registration and Attendance Policies

IN-PERSON SEMINARS

Schedule: At all In-Person seminars, the Registration Table opens at 8:00am (time zone of applicable venue). Lectures for all In-Person seminars begin at 8:30am and adjourn promptly at 4:15pm. Unless indicated otherwise on the seminar agenda, lunch is "on your own" and lasts one hour and 15 minutes.

Half-Price Tuition Offer - Terms and Conditions: Customers who purchase one 6-hour In-Person seminar may then purchase 6 more hours of In-Person seminars or Live Webcasts at a rate that is half off the original price of the first seminar. To be eligible for this half-price offer, the second (and/or third) seminar or webcast selected must be held within 60 days of the first seminar. Under this half-price offer, the same person must attend the first and subsequent seminars (i.e. customers cannot substitute a different person to receive the half-price seminar).

On-Demand courses are not eligible for this half-price offer.

Walk-Ins: Walk-ins are welcome at In-Person seminars if space is available. However, if you plan to walk in, please call us (1-800-874-8556) the day before the seminar to confirm arrangements and space availability since details, times, and locations may change. Barristers will not be responsible for prospective customers who are not pre-registered.

CLE Credit: Each In-Person seminar has been pre-approved for the indicated number of CLE credits in the states that are listed with that seminar's agenda. If your state is not listed, you are welcome to purchase and attend the seminar, but you will need to self-report your credits to such unlisted states. Barristers will be happy to supply any documentation that such states may require. Barristers cannot guarantee that unlisted states will grant approval or credit for the course (although Barristers courses have been widely accepted for credit in states all across the United States for over 20 years).

No-Tobacco Policy: At all seminars, Barristers must enforce a strict "no smoking" policy. This includes smokeless tobacco. Your cooperation in appreciated.

"Cell-Free" Zone: In consideration of the seminar speakers and your fellow attendees, we ask that you place all cell phones and similar devices on "silent" mode during seminar sessions.

LIVE WEBCAST SEMINARS

Schedule: The broadcast times listed for Live Webcast seminars are in Central Time. Please log into your account on the Barristers website ten (10) minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure proper reception of audio and video. If you experience difficulty in accessing the webcast, please call Barristers at 1-800-874-8556 for technical support.

Technical Requirements for Viewing: By purchasing a Barristers Live Webcast, you acknowledge that your computer meets the technical requirements set forth by Barristers. If your office typically blocks video content, please instruct your IT staff to make an exception for barristerscle.com

If you experience technical difficulties before or after the beginning of a Live Webcast, please call Barristers at 1-800-874-8556 for technical support.

Partial Viewings Prohibited: Due to technical and course accreditation requirements, you cannot receive partial credit for a Live Webcast unless you first coordinate with Barristers by calling 1-800-874-8556 before the seminar begins.

Half-Price Tuition Offer - Terms and Conditions: Customers who purchase 6 hours of In-Person or Live Webcast seminars may then purchase 6 more hours of In-Person seminars or Live Webcasts at a rate that is half off the original price of the first seminar. To be eligible for this half-price offer, the second (and/or third) seminar or webcast selected must be held within 60 days of the first seminar. Under this half-price offer, the same person must attend the first and subsequent seminars (i.e. customers cannot substitute a different person to receive the half-price seminar).

However, please be aware that many states place a cap on the maximum number of CLE hours that can be earned through Live Webcasts or other online seminars. Thus, your state may limit you to one Live Webcast per year, in which event you would need to earn your remaining credits through a traditional, In-Person seminar (which would still be eligible for the HALF-PRICE offer). Please consult your state's limitations, if any, on live webcasts and online course credit. The requirements for many states are summarized on our "Summary of Online CLE Rules by State" page, which can be accessed by clicking here.

On-Demand CLE courses do not qualify for this HALF-PRICE offer.

CLE Credit: Each Live Webcast seminar has been pre-approved for the indicated number of CLE credits in the states that are listed with that seminar's agenda. If your state is not listed, you are welcome to purchase and participate in the Live Webcast, but you will need to self-report your credits to such unlisted states. Barristers will be happy to supply any documentation that such states may require. Barristers cannot guarantee that unlisted states will grant approval or credit for the course (although Barristers courses have been widely accepted for credit in states all across the United States for over 20 years).

Online Participation: At all Live Webcasts, online participants can submit questions to the seminar speaker and download the seminar manual on to their own computers.

ON-DEMAND CLE

Schedule and Course Expiration: Barristers On-Demand CLE courses are pre-recorded so that you can view them on your computer at any time - whenever you're ready. Until you've watched a particular On-Demand course in its entirety at least once, that course will remain available for you to view indefinitely. However, once you have viewed a particular course in its entirety, you have 60 days to go back and re-play all or portions of that course.

Pausing, Fast-Forwarding, and Rewinding: When you begin viewing an On-Demand course, you can run your mouse across the video screen, and a control panel will appear. This control panel will include a "Pause" button. You can pause the course at any time. When you are ready to resume viewing, simply move your mouse across the screen and click the "play" button. If the video freezes, close out the course viewer (by clicking the "X" in the lower right-hand corner), and then log back into your selected course. When you then click the "play" button, the video should resume where you left off. (If you encounter technical problems, or the video returns to the very beginning, call Barristers at 1-800-874-8556 for technical support)

During your first viewing of a particular On-Demand course, you will not be permitted to fast-forward or rewind the course (due to accreditation regulations). However, once you have viewed a particular course in its entirety, you may view it again as often as you like for 60 days following your first completion. With repeat viewings, you will be able to fast-forward and rewind the video.

Technical Requirements for Viewing: By purchasing a Barristers On-Demand CLE course, you acknowledge that your computer is up to date with the latest web browser software and that you have a sufficiently fast internet connection ("DSL" or faster) to stream video. If your office typically blocks video content, please instruct your IT staff to make an exception for barristerscle.com

If you experience technical difficulties during the viewing of an On-Demand course, please call Barristers at 1-800-874-8556 for technical support.

Half-Price Offer Not Applicable to On-Demand CLE: Barristers "Buy 6 Hours, Get 6 More Hours at Half-Price" offer applies only to In-Person and Live Webcast seminars. Comparable savings on On-Demand courses are available by purchasing a "bundle" of On-Demand courses. See the On-Demand page of this website for a list of available On-Demand bundles in your state.

CLE Credit: Each On-Demand seminar has been pre-approved for the indicated number of CLE credits in the states that are listed with that seminar's agenda. If your state is not listed, you are welcome to purchase and view the On-Demand course, but you will need to self-report your credits to such unlisted states. Barristers will be happy to supply any documentation that such states may require. Barristers cannot guarantee that unlisted states will grant approval or credit for the course (although Barristers courses have been widely accepted for credit in states all across the United States for over 20 years).

However, please be aware that many states place a cap on the maximum number of CLE hours that can be earned through On-Demand or other online seminars. Thus, your state may limit you to six or eight On-Demand CLE hours per year, in which event you would need to earn your remaining credits through a traditional, In-Person seminar. Please consult your state's limitations, if any, on On-Demand and online course credit. The requirements for many states are summarized on the "On-Demand CLE" page of our website (click here).

Online Participation: With all On-Demand CLE courses, viewers can submit questions to the seminar speaker and download the seminar manual on to their own computers.
